SERVICES & USEFUL INFORMATION

There is a very simple philosophy behind our services: we don't make our heads spin trying to figure out what not else we could charge our guest's for, we include most of this things as part of our free basic services. Those few things we do charge, we feel are very reasonable priced. We feel it's the right way to go, the way things should be done!

•E-MAIL SERVICE

Each of our 3 apartments feature it's own private e - mail address ! We thought it's a good idea that your loved ones already know where and how to contact you, once you're here in Antigua at our Posada. Our e - mail addresses are directly related to the apartment of your choice, please check them out on the reservation form. There is a small fee of Q 1.- for each incoming or outgoing e - mail ( ~ 12 Cent of an US$ ), in order to provide this service.

•PHONE & FAX SERVICE

Some years ago I stood in a well reknown hotel in Guatemala City and sent a short fax to Europe. They charged me Q 200 .- and it still makes me sick ! What I'm trying to say is: we offer both of this services, but we charge them at cost - price.

•BREAKFAST

Our breakfasts' are rich and healthy. They represent a delicious mixture of traditional Guatemalan stile breakfast, combined with the commonly known European stile breakfast and are crowned with lots of fresh tropical fruits. They're complete as a breakfast can be and our guest's really love them. In fact, most of our guest's skip lunchtime, due to the richness of our breakfast. We usually serve breakfast on the roof terrace, so you can enjoy the magnificent view of all three volcano's of Antigua meantime you're eating.

•TEA TIME at 17:00 hours

Please, allow us to offer you a blend of different kinds of tea and a selection of fine guatemalan bakery. It's an appreciation to our guests here at Posada San Antonio, in order to make your time with us as nice and agreeable as possible !

•LUNCH AND DINNER

We gladly provide you with a list of recommended restaurants, they all are delicious, some of them even offer free delivery.

• SPECIAL DISCOUNTS

•BEVERAGES

We have an available menu of cold and hot drinks.

•CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT

We really don't have big rules on this matter. After all, it certainly depend's on your flight schedule.

•ENTRY TIME

You have a key to the main door of the posada,so you can come in or go out at any time you like.

•SMOKING AREAS

You can smoke in the outdoor areas of the house. Please do not smoke inside the apartments.

•LAUNDRY

We offer laundry service at US$ 1.00 per pound and US$ 1.00 per ironed item (shirt or pants).

•FIREPLACE

All apartments feature a cozy fireplace and we certainly include you the firewood at no cost.

•FLIGHT CONFIRMATION & TRAVEL SERVICES

We can gladly confirm or modify your flight at no cost.

•AIRPORT PICKUP

If you wish, we can meet your flight at the airport "La Aurora" in Guatemala City and take you to our Posada. There's is a US$ 30( one way) fee for this service.

•MAPS and CHARTS

Maps of Antigua are provided to you at no cost. Special charts can be borrowed in the main office at no cost.

• SPANISH LESSONS

Please go to Lodging and Spanish classes in a Special Package

•FIRST AID MEDICINE

We have limited basic medication available, in case of minor health disorders.

•MEDICAL SERVICES

We have an on call doctor in Posada San Antonio, Dr. Rubén Marroquín. There are several medical facilities close by and ambulance services are also available too.

•WATER

Of course we provide you with all the purified water you need, certainly it's part of our free service

•CAR RENTALS

•ELECTRICAL POWER

Guatemalan voltage is 110. For your convenience, our bathrooms are also equipped with 220V.

•CURRENCY EXCHANGE

You can easily exchange foreign currency at most local banks. Many of them are conveniently located nearby the Central Plaza. There are also several ATM machines throughout Antigua, where you can make cash withdrawals from your credit card.

•SECURITY

Regarding Antigua: although Antigua Guatemala is a beautiful and peaceful town, we suggest you don't walk alone in dark and desert streets, as well as not wearing expensive jewelry when you go out for a walk.

We also suggest you to leave your money and valuables here in the safe at our main office.

Note:Antigua counts with a Tourist Police, in adition to the regular National Police.
